That early love eventually became something more analytical when I realised how much of cricket betting comes down to the things casual viewers overlook — the pitch, the weather, the toss, and how a particular ground rewards one style of play over another. Across Tests, ODIs and T20s I treat each format as its own puzzle. A flat batting deck in Mumbai and a green seamer in England demand completely different reads, and I spend most of my research time on conditions, head-to-head records, and squad balance rather than reputation. When I publish a prediction, I want the reasoning to stand on its own. Eight years of following this closely has taught me to respect variance.
